2015 marked the 50 year anniversary of the 1965 Indo-Pakistan conflict. One of the most memorable and decisive battles fought by the Armoured Corp was the Battle of Assal Uttar, with The Deccan Horse Regiment playing a pivotal role in it by taking out 36 enemy tanks. To mark the occasion and celebrate Deccan Horse’s role, we were commissioned to produce an audio-visual. The mainstay of our AV was some very interesting shoot we accomplished with an ancient Sherman MkIV tank, and archival footage and photos from various sources. The rest was achieved by creative storyboarding and clever editing.
