3D Projection Mapping on Model

The simple ask was to show the route followed by the mountaineers of the 1965 Indian Expedition to Mt Everest. A glowing line of LEDs was one of the traditional ways to do it. However we wanted to create something which would become the talking point. Using 3D Projection Mapping technique we projected the route onto a 3D model of Mt Everest from base camp till the summit. Through use of animated tents and a glowing line, we showed the progress of the expedition. We even showed an avalanche and the flag being mounted on the summit. Day and night was simulated on the model exactly as per the timeline of the expedition. Pop-up text showed further details. All in all a very unusual exhibit.
